Most of us want to share our faith. We just don’t want it to be weird.
We feel the tension. We care about our neighbors. We believe the gospel is good news. But when the moment comes? We freeze.
“What if I say the wrong thing?”
“What if I don’t know the answer?”
“What if they think I’m pushy?”
Let me take the pressure off: Evangelism doesn’t have to be polished. It just needs to be personal. And it starts with a conversation.
You don’t need a degree to talk about Jesus. You just need a story—and if you’ve trusted Him, you already have one.
Try this:
What was your life like before you met Jesus?
How did you come to believe in Him?
What has changed since?
Simple. Honest. Real. That’s often more powerful than any argument.
And when the moment’s right, you can ask:
👉 “Have you ever thought about what you believe?”
👉 “Would you ever want to come to church with me sometime?”
👉 “Can I tell you what Jesus has done for me?”
The goal isn’t to pressure. It’s to plant a seed. God is the one who saves—not us.
At Lake Hills, we believe God has placed each of us right where we are on purpose. Your workplace, your street, your gym, your school pickup line—they’re all places where God can work.
We’re praying as a church for boldness and compassion to invite others to find and follow Jesus. And here’s the amazing part: He uses ordinary people to do it.
That means you don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to be willing.
So don’t wait for the perfect moment. Don’t worry about having the perfect words. Just start the conversation.
You never know what God might do through it.
