From time to time, God leads His church into seasons that invite trust more than certainty.
Seasons where the path ahead is not fully mapped out, but the calling is clear: walk together, love one another, and stay focused on Christ. This is one of those seasons for us.
In the weeks ahead, our church will be entering a season of combined worship with the English Ministry of Seattle Woori Church. This is not about rushing toward outcomes or forcing conclusions. It is about taking a faithful step—grounded in prayer, shaped by humility, and anchored in the mission Jesus has given His church.
Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed for His followers—not only those with Him then, but all who would believe through their message.
“May they all be one… so that the world may believe you sent me.”
— John 17:21
Unity has always been close to the heart of Christ. Not unity for its own sake, but unity that reflects the gospel and points the world to Him. When believers walk together in love, humility, and shared purpose, something beautiful is displayed: the reality of Jesus Himself.
The apostle Paul echoes this call in Philippians 2, urging the church to share the same love, to be united in spirit, and to adopt the mindset of Christ—who laid aside privilege and chose the path of humble service.
This season invites us to do the same.
Seattle Woori Church has worshiped and ministered on our property for over fourteen years, faithfully reaching Korean-speaking families in our community. In recent years, God has also blessed their young adult ministry, leading to the formation of an English Ministry—made up largely of young adults, many of whom are new to the church and new to faith.
The English Ministry has gone through a season of transition, and Seattle Woori Church is prayerfully seeking new leadership. In the meantime, their senior pastor has graciously stepped in to teach and shepherd both ministries—a significant and faithful labor.
This season of combined worship allows us to support one another, share life together, and be strengthened by what God is doing among us. We believe we will be blessed by the energy, service, and participation of these young adults—and we trust that God will use this season for His good purposes.
At its heart, this season is not driven by preference or convenience. It is driven by mission.
Jesus’ final command to His church was clear:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations…”
— Matthew 28:19
The mission of the church has always been outward-facing. When believers unite around that mission, distractions fade, fears quiet down, and Christ’s glory becomes central.
We do not claim to know exactly where this season will lead. What we do know is this: we are called to pray, to be warm and welcoming, to trust God’s leading, and to remain focused on the work He has given us right now.
As we enter this season of combined worship, here are a few simple invitations for our church family:
Pray regularly—for wisdom, unity, and God’s provision for every need.
Be warm and welcoming—extend grace, hospitality, and genuine kindness.
Trust that God is at work, even when the future is still unfolding.
Stay focused on Christ, His gospel, and His mission in our community.
Scripture reminds us:
“Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.”
— Hebrews 10:23
God has been faithful to His church across generations. He will be faithful now.
This season is not about losing something important—it is about entrusting what we have to the Lord. We worship, pray, and serve together, asking God to guide each step and provide exactly what is needed at exactly the right time.
Our confidence is not in plans or predictions.
Our confidence is in Christ.
And as we walk together in humility and hope, we trust that He will use this season to strengthen His church and reach our community for His glory.
